Purpose of Job
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and managerial oversight for the Crime & Intelligence Analysis Unit and the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). The Criminal Intelligence Analyst Supervisor is responsible for managing personnel and resources; establishing policies and performance standards; and ensuring that all analytical operations align with departmental goals objectives and legal requirements. This position oversees scheduling workload distribution and employee evaluations and serves as the primary liaison between the unit command staff and external partner agencies. While the Supervisor maintains a working knowledge of analytical processes their primary focus is on leadership strategic planning resource allocation and ensuring that the unit delivers timely accurate and actionable intelligence to support departmental operations and public safety initiatives and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Job Related Requirements:
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week; may include nights weekends and holidays
May be required to work on religious holidays.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Must work cooperatively with others.
When requirements include vehicle operation responsible for the safety readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACCs safe driving policy.
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Criminology Public Administration Data Analytics or a closely related field with five years of professional experience in crime or intelligence analysis data analytics statistics research or related field.
Two years supervisory experience required.
Must possess the Crime Intelligence Analysis Certification from the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and maintain clearance to access law enforcement databases (e.g. NCIC/GCIC).
