Job Summary

12-month contract renewable

Our client is on an exciting journey to transform and digitalise our business and IT landscape. As part of this they are growing the Data & Technology team and looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead / Specialist to shape and drive our firm-wide Data Governance framework.

What youll do:

Own and manage the organisations Data Governance framework and policies
Lead data governance practices: ownership stewardship classification protection access controls
Operate and support the data governance committee influencing senior stakeholders
Drive adoption of governance processes tools and SOPs across the business
Implement governance technologies (metadata data quality MDM reference data management)

What you bring:

6 years experience in data governance / data management (enterprise environment preferred)
Proven track record implementing data governance frameworks in complex organisations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with governance tools (e.g. Collibra Informatica Alation IBM IGC etc.)
Knowledge of unstructured data management and AI governance is a plus
Background in Financial Services highly desirable
