Position Overview:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of Almond Cashew Macadamia Pistachio Hazelnut and Peanut ingredients to major Food & Beverage companies in Thailand. Reporting to the APAC Commercial Head of Nuts & Private Label this role will focus on business development customer relationship management and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management:
    • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships acting as a key liaison between processing operations in Vietnam and customers.
    • Ensuring seamless onboarding and retention of customers driving long-term business success.
  • Business Development:
    • Driving growth in sales volumes and margins with a focus on single-nut ingredients and their applications (e.g. powders pastes meals and oils).
    • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding market reach and customer base.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Maintaining effective communication with multiple stakeholders leveraging product and quality knowledge to support customer needs.
    • Overseeing destination stock and Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) to ensure timely supply solutions.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics:
    • Managing supply chain operations including import/export processes logistics and warehouse planning for domestic distribution.
    • Overseeing trade execution ensuring compliance with import documentation and business models.
    • Handling customer claims by assessing quantifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Risk & Sales Management:
    • Mitigating counterparty risks addressing quality disputes and navigating supply chain challenges to support annual sales volume and margin growth.
    • Tracking sales import documentation and payments ensuring accurate reporting and timely updates.
  • Customer Acquisition & Service:
    • Expanding business horizons by acquiring new customers and providing superior customer service.
    • Offering competitive solutions and promptly addressing customer concerns.
    • Managing both domestic and import sales of nut ingredients catering to importers processors and traders in Thailand.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Management Food Technology Economics Commerce or an MBA in Sales/Marketing.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in Agri Commodity Sales Trading or B2B Sales preferably in food agribusiness or FMCG sectors.
    • Experience in import/export and supply chain management is an advantage.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of the food industry including product classifications and key ingredient applications.
    • Proactive and goal-oriented mindset with expertise in sales planning and relationship management.
    • Ability to build long-term strategic partnerships with buyers.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
