Shangri-La TheFort Manila islocated within Fort Bonifacio is a former military base and city centre. With 60 storeys the hotel is comprised of576 hotel guestrooms 97 hotel residences and 96 exclusive Horizon Homes. Thebuilding isalso destined as one ofManilas landmark. The new hotel complements the companys five existing properties in the Philippines.
The mixed-use business residential and retail tower is located along 5thAvenue corner30th Street within the new fast-developing Taguig business district. A 30-minute drive from the international airport the hotel will also be close to the Manila Golf Club and Manila Polo Club and 10 minutes from Makati district the capitals financial cultural and entertainment hub with first-class shopping malls.
DUTIES
- Interact and engage with bar guests and maintains high quality service standards
- Motivate team members and maintain a high level of team spirit (or team cohesiveness)
- Handle guest complaints effectively and professionally
- Consistently looking to increase satisfaction levels from a Colleague Guest and Owner perspective
- Prepare and serve beverages for guests in accordance to the specified requirement and standards
- Maintain stock supplies and cleanliness of work area and equipment
- Support the daily operation in collaboration with the Service Manager assist with monthly forecasting weekly schedule restaurant profitability evaluation etc.
- Take responsibility in partnership with the Service Manager for the operations look and feel including but not limited to the overall decor and atmosphere of the bar
- Supervise and assist in the training of bar staff
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably a college graduate with a degree in in Hospitality or in the same capacity
- Preferably with minimum of 2years relevant experiencein a bar
- Preferably with knowlegeon alcohols and liquorsvarious wines and spirits
- Has a passion for Food & Beverage
- Is able to work in bar operations
- Loves interacting with guests
- Believes in teamwork
- Fluent English communication
- Preferably has experience working in either a luxury outdoor bar &in a 5* hotel background
- A self-starter and a team player
- Good knowledge of all beverages spirits cocktails and wines
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Ability to think outside-the-box and with can-do attitude
- Perform any other duties and special projects assigned by supervisors
