Back End Developer
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Summary
We are looking for a skilled Back-End Developer to design and develop the infrastructure behind a new internal tool that will be used by non-technical users. You will build and maintain the systems that power internal platforms developer tooling and productivity-enhancing services across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust back-end systems that simplify workflows automate repetitive tasks and empower technical and non-technical teams to move faster with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust scalable back-end systems to support tools used by non-technical teams.
- Build secure user-focused APIs and workflows that power front-end applications or no-code/low-code interfaces.
- Work closely with front-end developers designers and product managers to ensure the system delivers a seamless experience for non-technical users.
- Model and manage data storage access and permissions with a focus on simplicity and security.
- Create automation features such as scheduled jobs reporting data syncing or task workflows.
- Implement validation error handling and logging with a focus on usability and supportability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate quickly based on real user feedback and usage patterns.
- Document internal APIs and system behavior for both technical and semi-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of professional experience developing web-based applications
- Proficiency in at least one modern coding language. React JS TypeScript JavaScript HTML5 CSS OOJS etc.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
- Experience building interfaces for complex data and workflows.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with state management (Redux MobX Vuex NgRx etc).
- Experience with Git Agile/Scrum CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as React Angular or .
- Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Figma Adobe XD Sketch) and ability to translate designs into code.
- End to end workflow experience
- Experience working on Sponsor systems
