Responsibilities
- The Compliance Operations Officer is a Group-level hybridrole between the Compliance and Operations departmentsdesigned to ensure alignment and cohesion betweencompliance and operational objectives.
- The Compliance Operations Officer will be responsible forexecuting and/or guiding operational processes ensuring theyare carried out with a regulatory lens. This role will involveclose collaboration with all three lines of defense to ensure
- alignment co-operation and efficiency between operationalactivities and regulatory requirements across the variousjurisdictions in which the Group operates (i.e. Europe UKMiddle East Australia and Bahamas).
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant aspects ofprevailing business practices and relevant regulations acrossthe jurisdictions in which the Group operates.
- Ensure any issues arising are satisfactorily identifiedinvestigated addressed and resolved as and when required.
- Design Policies and Procedures and improve existingframeworks to adapt with current and/or emerging businessand regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with the Compliance and Operations teams totranslate regulatory requirements into practical operationalprocedures.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Groups existingPolicies and Procedures.
- Analyse data and produce Management Information andreports as required to ensure sufficient level of oversight bythe relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with internal and external auditors with confidencewhere required.
- Act as an adviser to Senior Management and other membersof the Group on general compliance and operational issues asrequired.
- Work with Compliance and Risk Management to investigateand resolve operational compliance issues.
- Establish and oversee incident reporting mechanisms forregulatory breaches.
- Identify gaps in operational workflows that may posecompliance risks and recommend improvements.
- Support and initiate automation and technology solutions tostreamline and improve the Groups regulatory operations..
Work closely with other functions of the business such asProduct IT Back Office or Customer Support to ensuregeneral efficiencies and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Compliance Operations or a hybrid role within a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific and international regulatory frameworks and operational best practices.
- Proficiency with workflow management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Solid skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in the CFD/Spread Bet industry is a plus.
