Job Opportunity: OB-GYN Hospitalist in Salinas CA
Pediatrix Medical Group is urgently seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board-Eligible OB-GYN Hospitalist to provide 24-hour in-house coverage at a nationally recognized maternity care hospital nestled in the beautiful and vibrant Central Coast city of Salinas California.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour in-house OB-GYN hospitalist coverage
- Manage labor and delivery for low-volume OBs in the community
- Handle obstetrical triage and emergency situations
- Perform patient evaluations and management
- Assist in obstetrical surgeries
- Participate in fetal monitoring and coordination with MFM specialists
- Support a Level III NICU operated in partnership with Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital Stanford
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and MFM support
- Ensure high-quality evidence-based care for all obstetric patients
- This is a permanent full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
Qualifications:
- TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- Active California medical license at the time of application - REQUIRED
- OB Hospitalist work experience - PREFERRED
- Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Willingness to relocate to the area - REQUIRED
- No visa support required - REQUIRED
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in OB-GYN
- Board Eligible in OB-GYN (within five years of residency)
- Active California State License
