Job Description
Job Title: Locum - Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Join our team at a full-service acute care hospital located in Springfield Ohio! We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon to provide call coverage for a vibrant medical facility. Our hospital features state-of-the-art equipment an onsite lab and x-ray and supports a practice caseload that is 100% adult. With 250 total beds including 60 ICU beds we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general cardiovascular thoracic and vascular surgeries.
- Conduct coronary artery bypass surgeries and manage congenital defects.
- Perform valvular repairs and replacements as well as aneurysm repairs.
- Conduct lung resections (including video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries).
- Manage chest wall and pleural procedures.
- Perform esophagus and diaphragm surgeries.
- Execute endarterectomies (carotid and renal).
- Oversee ventilation management and bronchoscopy procedures.
- Evaluate and manage acute volumetric and blood pressure issues.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Thoracic and Vascular Surgery - REQUIRED
- BLS and ACLS certifications - REQUIRED
- Active Ohio state license - REQUIRED
- Must have a clean record; minor payouts may be considered.
- Availability to cover the listed dates is a prerequisite for consideration.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Ohio State License
