Job Description
Job Title: Locum Cardiovascular Surgeon
Join a leading healthcare facility in beautiful Colorado Springs CO! We are in search of a dedicated Locum Physician specializing in Cardiovascular Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity to provide crucial medical services within a well-equipped hospital.
Facility Highlights:
- Hospital-based care with a focus on adult patients
- Well-structured team with 2 physicians and 5 mid-levels
- Level 1 trauma center with a bed capacity of 400
- Opportunity to work with EMR (Epic)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide call coverage as soon as credentialed including weekends and some weekday calls
- Manage an average of 10-15 hospital-based patients daily
- Supervise and provide clinical oversight during call coverage
- Perform required procedures including Coronary artery bypass surgeries Valvular repairs ECMO Cannulation and more
- Address acute volume and blood pressure issues as part of patient care
- Participate in admissions ICU care and surgical procedures as required
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery
- Proven experience in performing heart surgeries focusing on cardiac cases
- Strong surgical case volume and competence in various procedures
- Clean background with no malpractice history
- COVID vaccinated (proof required)
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Colorado License or Active IMLC
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
- Proof of recent case logs for dissections
