Job Description
Locum - Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic in Prescott AZ
Summary: We are seeking a general orthopedic surgeon for a 3-6 month locum assignment in the picturesque city of Prescott Arizona. This role is designed to bridge gaps in patient care while new providers are recruited. The ideal candidate will be working within a dynamic clinic and surgery setting providing essential orthopedic services with the support of a dedicated team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general orthopedic surgical care to patients.
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits and surgeries typically seeing about 15 patients per day in the clinic and performing 6-10 surgeries.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and management.
- Work collaboratively with medical assistants registered nurses and front office staff.
- Participate in call shifts as required ensuring comprehensive coverage for patients.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (Required)
- A current Arizona state license or IMLC (LOQ in hand) (Required)
- Completion of an orthopedic residency and fellowship (Required)
- Current ACLS BLS and DEA certifications (Required)
- Availability to start immediately upon credentialing (Required)
- Clean malpractice history preferred
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Arizona state medical license or IMLC
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Current DEA registration
