Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Neuro
Facility and Practice Summary
Join a well-respected and dynamic healthcare facility located in Lakewood Colorado known for its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare. This institution is seeking urgent coverage in April 2025 with ongoing opportunities anticipated from July 2025 onward. As a Level I Trauma center the facility encounters a diverse range of challenging cases requiring a skilled neurosurgeon.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide primary call coverage for neurosurgery on a 24/7 basis.
- Manage trauma cases with proficiency in general neurosurgery and spine procedures required.
- Participate in a 24-hour call schedule including 8 hours of gratis time.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and treatment management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery.
- Active Colorado medical license or IMLC (with LOQ in hand at the time of submission).
- Active certifications in ACLS and BLS required for credentialing.
- Current DEA registration with considerations for transfers.
- Clean malpractice and background history; higher priority for candidates with a self-inquiry NPDB report.
- Availability for the specified April dates and willingness to disclose ongoing shift availability.
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery - Required
- Active Colorado License - Required or IMLC
- Active ACLS and BLS - Required for credentialing
- Active DEA - Required for credentialing
