The role will be the key Finance Business Partner across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Last Mile. Amazons Last Mile delivery service is responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across Australia. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a portfolio of delivery stations vehicles and technology to deliver customers packages on time - often next day sometimes faster.
We augment our traditional deliver by van with other models including Amazon Flex (gig economy drivers) and more - all designed to deliver smiles to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Last Mile business streams Operations Supply Chain and Customer Excellence teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
- Develop and publish regular financial reports highlighting key performance indicators and regular business metrics
- Perform weekly/monthly controllership activities alongside variance analysis versus plan and forecast
- Ad hoc strategic analysis to drive program expansion balancing delivery speed initiatives with cost efficiency
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
