Job Description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine
Join a dynamic team at a critical access hospital in Williston North Dakota where we prioritize emergency medical coverage. This facility is not only well-equipped but also features a strong support staff that mimics larger hospitals providing a comprehensive environment for patient care. We are currently seeking qualified Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum tenens opportunities that can accommodate flexible scheduling with no gaps.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
- Manage 1.5-2 patients per hour on average with mid-level assistance during peak hours.
- Perform all necessary emergency procedures including intubations chest tubes central lines critical care procedural sedation airway management and resuscitation.
- Utilize the Meditech EMR system effectively.
- Participate in a collaborative environment with APPs providing support from 10 AM to 10 PM.
- Document 250 case logs within the last year to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Complete credentialing within a four-week timeline with options for temporary privileges.
- Travel arrangements include flight hotel rental car and mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required).
- Active North Dakota license or IMLC (license preferred).
- Current certifications: PALS ATLS ACLS.
- Comprehensive experience in managing emergency cases with proficiency in required procedures.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid and active North Dakota state medical license or IMLC.
- PALS ATLS and ACLS certifications must be up to date.
- DEA registration valid in the state of practice.
