Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neuropsychologist in Grand Rapids MI
Join a dynamic Neuropsychology team in Grand Rapids Michigan where you will have the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of patients through comprehensive cognitive and psychological assessments. This practice emphasizes a collaborative approach with a dedicated team of professionals ensuring that both adult and geriatric patients receive the highest quality of care. The position offers a flexible Monday to Friday schedule with no holiday or weekend work allowing for a fulfilling work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct 90% outpatient work and 10% inpatient services.
- Administer 8 neuro-cognitive tests per week.
- Collaborate with a team of four providers to enhance patient care.
- Assist with pre-surgical assessments for procedures such as deep brain stimulation and bariatric surgery.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations for various neurological and cognitive disturbances.
- Document and communicate assessment results for effective treatment planning.
- Contribute to the assessment of decision-making capacity.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited institution.
- Completion of an internship endorsed by the American Psychological Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an organized healthcare setting supervised by a licensed psychologist including at least one year post-doctorate.
- Experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Specific expertise in the assessment of memory disturbance dementia traumatic brain injury and cognitive disturbances linked to various medical conditions.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current MI license or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice history is preferred.
- Visa support availability for H1B candidates (not available for J1 candidates).
