Job Description
Join Our Neuropsychology Team in Grand Rapids MI!
We are seeking a full-time Neuropsychologist (PhD) to join our dedicated Neuropsychology team located in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids Michigan. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on outpatient care perfect for those looking to make a significant impact in the field of neuropsychology. With a supportive team of four providers and a robust infrastructure you will conduct comprehensive assessments to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning for a diverse patient population.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient services.
- Work Monday to Friday; no holidays or weekends required.
- Complete approximately eight neuro-cognitive assessments per week.
- Collaborate with a psychometrist and business staff to streamline operations.
- Provide thorough adult and geriatric cognitive and psychological evaluations.
- Assess specific cognitive disturbances including memory issues dementia traumatic brain injury and more.
- Perform pre-surgical assessments for patients considered for deep brain stimulation bariatric surgery and epilepsy surgery.
- Evaluate decision-making capacities as needed.
- Provide leadership or specific skills training within the neuropsychology practice.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited institution.
- Completion of an APA-endorsed internship.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience under a licensed psychologist including one year post-doctorate.
- Specialized expertise in cognitive assessments and disorders.
- Experienced candidates only; new graduates will not be considered.
- Not accepting candidates with lapsed Board Certification.
- Open to H1B visa candidates; not open to J1 visa candidates.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current MI license or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
