We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist specializing in Internal this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services at hospitals ensuring high-quality patient care and support. The projects you will be involved in are diverse ranging from managing acute medical conditions to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for hospitalized patients.
- Manage and oversee the care of patients with various medical conditions.
- Collaborate with nurses specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Perform medical procedures as necessary such as inserting central lines or intubations.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols and standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine.
- Possess a valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Hospitalist in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to adapt to different hospital environments and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

Must be board-certified
