Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly checks and updates on all site safety files.
  • Audit the safety files of Servest subcontractors monthly.
  • Attend safety meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Upload all meeting minutes and investigations to the SHEQ X platform.
  • Visit posts regularly and conduct PTO on Servest members to ensure compliance with the client safety standards.
  • Attend monthly SHE meetings with Servest SHE representatives and keep the minutes on file for audit purposes.
  • Respond to safety incidents investigate them and submit preliminary reports until the investigation is finalized.
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager and the Accounts Operations Executive Mining .

















Minimum Requirements
  • Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Health and Safety Qualification or relevant
  • Must have Samtrac or NOSA certificates
  • 3-5 years experience as a Safety Officer in a mining environment
  • Experience and knowledge of the MHSA OHS act audit and Incident Investigation
  • Must have a PSIRA Grade A certificate
  • No criminal record or any pending cases
  • Medically Fit
  • Valid Drivers License with own reliable transport
  • Must be based in the Secunda area
  • Must be prepared to work underground
