Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled Procurement Manager for a luxury private game reserve based in Hoedspruit. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a well-organised and detail-orientated individual with strong procurement and supply chain experience particularly within the hospitality or lodge industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all procurement operations for the reserve ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of goods and services
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and service agreements
Ensure all goods are ordered in line with budget quality standards and operational requirements
Track and maintain stock levels ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Oversee procurement systems and processes to maintain compliance with company policies
Coordinate with various departments to ensure purchasing needs are met
Analyse usage trends and adjust purchasing plans accordingly
Ensure proper documentation and reporting on all procurement activities
Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audits and reporting
Requirements:
Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role ideally in a hospitality or lodge environment
Excellent negotiation communication and supplier relationship management skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
High attention to detail with a focus on cost control and efficiency
Solid understanding of procurement software and Microsoft Office programmes
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of remote logistics and bush operations would be advantageous
Valid driver s licence
