Are you a visionary product leader passionate about the future of clinical technology Were seeking a Product Lead Hospital Care to take ownership of a critical portfolio of clinical information systems across St Vincents.
In this high-impact role you will report directly to the Head of Applications and be responsible for managing the technology that underpins safe high-quality patient care. This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and evolution of our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and other essential hospital care applications. You will be a key driver of our digital transformation ensuring our clinical applications align with the organisations strategic objectives and directly support our mission of providing exceptional and compassionate care.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney Brisbane or Melbourne on a hybrid working arrangement 3 days a week in office and 2 days working from home. In this role there will be a requirement to be available outside standard business hours for escalations as needed and may be to travel interstate on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Develop and maintain a clear product strategy and roadmap for our key clinical systems ensuring the roadmap reflects evolving clinical operational and regulatory requirements such as accreditation and safety standards
Oversee the design configuration and delivery of new system features clinical workflows and decision-support tools that directly enhance the user experience and clinical outcomes for our patients and staff
Lead coach and mentor a team of Clinical Support Analysts and Technical Support Analysts fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability to deliver high-quality system support and enhancements and drive continuous improvement
Ensure all clinical information systems comply with Australian digital health standards including interoperability frameworks privacy regulations and security requirements
Cultivate strong relationships with clinical leaders operational teams and business product managers to align our technology with the evolving needs of the organisation
Act as the liaison with external vendors digital health agencies and government bodies to align our systems with emerging healthcare trends
Things that work for us:
Proven experience leading the delivery and management of critical clinical information systems including the EMR PAS and other hospital applications
Experience with Meditech EMR or other enterprise-level healthcare systems
Strong understanding of clinical workflows digital health standards and hospital accreditation requirements
Demonstrated experience in managing product roadmaps including system enhancements upgrades and new feature development
Experience working with business product managers clinical leaders and operational teams to ensure system capabilities align with business needs
Proven ability to manage software vendor relationships and collaborate with external healthcare agencies
Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in a Health Profession Clinical Education Information Technology Health Informatics Health Information Management or a related field
