Job Description

Neara has developed a software platform that builds sophisticated engineering-grade 3D digital models of critical infrastructure delivered under a software-as-a-service model. To date Neara has primarily focused on modelling electricity grids but is also expanding rapidly into other infrastructure verticals such as telecommunications and rail.

Were seeking a driven Sales Engineer to join our high-growth team. This is someone who combines technical expertise with a hunter mindset to drive expansion within our existing utility and infrastructure accounts. With a passion for geospatial technology youll identify untapped opportunities build technical credibility and convert that expertise into commercial wins.

As we scale across utility and infrastructure verticals we need someone who can spot new business opportunities within our current customer base articulate value early in complex sales cycles and bridge the gap between technical capability and business impact.

What you will do:

  • Onboard comprehensively on our platform customer use cases and value proposition to become a technical authority.

  • Prospect engage and qualify new opportunities within existing utility and infrastructure accounts leveraging industry and technical knowledge.

  • Shadow and learn from sales calls product demos and technical workshops to master how we position solutions to different buyer personas.

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key decision-makers including asset managers network planners and engineering leaders.

  • Coordinate product demonstrations discovery meetings and solution workshops in collaboration with Nearas technical and solutions engineering teams.

  • Support the preparation of proposals sales materials and business cases highlighting ROI operational benefits and risk mitigation outcomes enabled by Neara.

  • Qualify and convert inbound leads and early-stage opportunities by demonstrating deep technical fluency and platform expertise.

  • Stay informed on industry trends regulatory changes and infrastructure challenges impacting utilities and infrastructure clients.

Who you are:

  • 23 years of experience in technical sales solutions engineering or account management within utilities infrastructure or geospatial technology

  • Engineering or technical background with hands-on exposure to utility operations asset management or network planning processes.

  • Strong understanding of geospatial solutions asset visualisation and network simulation technologies is highly advantageous.

  • Proven ability to engage accounts through proactive outreach relationship building and value-driven conversations.

  • Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into business language for diverse stakeholders

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
