Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
Starting Salary: $67000.00; Additional compensation may be considered based on experience.
FLSA: Exempt
Job Overview:The Hamilton County Prosecutors Office HR Generalist provides a wide-range of HR functions such as recruitment onboarding performance evaluations record keeping compliance and administrative operations. They are the go-to person for employee-related issues and often work closely with both employees and management to ensure HR policies procedures and practices are effectively implemented and followed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Creates job descriptions for every position helps with recruiting by posting jobs reviewing applicants for minimum qualifications on job postings coordinate interviews and conduct background checks. Plans and participates in job fairs diversity events and networking opportunities.
  • Creates performance evaluations creating a schedule of due dates for probationary employees and current staff. Support managers in conducting evaluations.
  • Leads new employee orientations (onboarding). Serve as the primary contact for new employees and ensure smooth transitions into their division. Prepare and process all new hire paperwork in all HR systems.
  • Helps manage new hire benefit enrollment by tracking that the proper documentation has been uploaded into the benefit advisor. Assists with the annual health care enrollment.
  • Maintains accurate personnel records and ensures proper filing of documentation in personnel files.
  • Assists with preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll for approx. 200 employees.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and be flexible in a fast-paced organization.
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
  • Time management expertise to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner throughout the day.
  • Organizational skills to keep an accurate record of documentation.
  • Proficient technology usage skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate scanners copiers and printers.
