TITLE:Principal - LHS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Kansas Building Level Administrator Certificate.
- At least 5years of successful experience in public education as a classroom teacher.
- At least 5 years of successful principal experience
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- After employment shall reside within the school district.
REPORTS TO: Directors and Superintendent
SUPERVISES:Staff members designated by the Board or the Superintendent
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (not an all-inclusive list)
- Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.
- Keeps the central administration informed of the schools activities and problems.
- Makes recommendations concerning the administration and instruction of the school.
- Administers the schools budgeted allocations.
- Implements the Board policies and administrative rules and regulations relating to the school.
- Prepares and maintains such reports as may be required.
- Supervises all professional paraprofessional administrative and clerical personnel attached to the school.
- Approves the master teaching schedule and any special assignments.
- Evaluates and counsels all staff members regarding their individual and group performance.
- Conducts meetings of the staff as necessary for the proper functioning of the school.
- Recommends employment or non-renewal of staff to the superintendent or his designee.
- Plans all drills and an emergency preparedness program.
- Supervises all activities and programs that are outgrowths of the schools curriculum.
- Supervises and evaluates the schools extracurricular program.
- Participates in admin council and other meetings as are required by the superintendent or his designee.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Length of Contract TBD.
- Salary to be determined by the board of education
