Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant role provides crucial support to both the mailroom and maintenance departments at the company headquarters. This position involves handling mail managing stored materials assisting with staff relocations and providing general support to ensure smooth operations.
Location: White Plains New York United States
Responsibilities:

- Receive sort and distribute internal and external mail.
- Manage outbound mail and package requests.
- Operate mailroom equipment and machines.
- Provide backup support to mailroom team members.
- Make hand deliveries and pick-ups for executives and external parties.
- Assist with the management of stored materials including furniture.
- Support internal relocation of staff members.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event furniture and equipment.
- Support emergent work as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and follow directions.
- Deliver high-level customer service.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Two years of experience in Support Services (mailroom or maintenance)
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Ability to take direction and collaborate with other team members
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn new software
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- General knowledge of mailroom operations and equipment/machines
- Experience with Customer Service
Special Considerations:

- Must be local to the Tri-State area.
- Must be a W2 employee of the service provider.
- Fully remote positions are prohibited; hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 3 days on-site or fully on-site depending on business needs. Remote work privileges can be revoked at any time.
- Candidates must use their personal equipment to remote into company desktops.
- Foreign national status and all Visas must be disclosed at the time of candidate submission.
- A Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure will be required during onboarding.
- Overtime is not permitted unless authorized in advance.
Scheduling:
- Monday through Friday 7.5-hour workday with a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch.
- Paid for time worked only; there are no paid holidays vacation or sick days.
