The Role
Reporting to the Head of Environmental Compliance youll coordinate sustainability initiatives across Huons operations ensuring alignment with both regulatory and voluntary frameworksincluding the JBS Global Sustainability Strategy. Youll play a key role in embedding sustainability into operational and project planning managing data governance and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives across energy carbon water and waste.
- Integrate sustainability planning into operational projects to ensure compliance and measurable outcomes.
- Manage data governance and reporting to track performance and progress.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support sustainability goals.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities related to environmental and sustainability initiatives including potential research projects.
- Prepare internal and external reports to communicate outcomes and project proposals.
- Support governance and compliance for environmental data and voluntary disclosures.
About You
Youre a motivated and collaborative professional with a strong commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement. You bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field (Environment Science Business) and previous experience working within a complex regulatory environment would be an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
