Air Vehicle Qualification Test Lead Strategic Strike - Tucson AZ (On-site)

This position is to support the Strategic Strike SSBU as the AV Qualification Test Lead.

The AV Qualification Test Lead is responsible for providing team leadership for all Qualification Risk Reduction and Design Verification tasks to ensure execution of the Air Vehicle test scope. The role requires a high level of demonstrated execution expertise coupled with the ability to lead a high visibility effort on a critical program.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate Delta DVT activities Work with test leads on execution planning coordination. Identify roadblocks and determine mitigation steps to brief Office of the Chief Engineer Program Management and Customer on status of testing.
  • Provide technical execution leadership required to test verify and qualify hardware associated with the Air Vehicle IPT that complies with performance requirements.
  • Communicate both to the Raytheon leadership and the customer community to provide test status accomplishments issues and help needed while influencing the Sub-IPTs to ensure program alignment and teamwork.
  • As a member of the Air Vehicle IPT Leadership Team contribute to developing and aligning common qualification test strategies and plans so that the entire IPT communicates with one voice to the team throughout execution.
  • Provide leadership to the various engineering IPTs and many collaborative partners from Operations Quality and Supply Chain Management.
  • Actively work to identify manage and mitigate risks or capture opportunities associated with Qualification and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA).
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to all team members.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) or related field and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Airframe or Controls and Mechanisms design and/or verification including electro-mechanical spring and pyro energetic mechanisms.
  • experience in task execution and/or Air Vehicle design.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working with air-carried Air Force Products
  • Experience managing cross functional teams in a technical capacity

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
