Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Engineer with a lot of experience and skill to join our remote team. The best candidate will have great technical skills be a strong leader and love building systems that are strong and can grow. As a Lead Engineer you will be in charge of delivering technical projects mentoring engineering teams and working closely with stakeholders to make sure projects go from idea to completion.
Main Duties:
Technical Leadership: Help plan build and roll out complicated software solutions. Set the engineering teams technical standards and best practices.
Team Management: Help coach and mentor a group of engineers who work from home. Create a team culture that is welcoming and encourages working together sharing ideas and coming up with new ones.
Project Oversight: Be in charge of the technical roadmap make sure that project milestones are met on time and use engineering resources wisely.
Working together: Work with Product Managers Designers and other stakeholders from different departments to make sure that the solutions you come up with meet business goals.
Code Quality & Review: Make sure that security and compliance standards are followed and check the quality of the code.
Continuous Improvement: Push for process improvements support automation and keep up with new technologies and trends in your field.
Problem Solving: Find and fix complicated technical problems and architectural problems.
Requirements: a bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field (or the same amount of work experience)
At least two years of experience as a software engineer with at least two years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
Experience designing and building systems that can grow and are always available. Knowledge of insert relevant technologies such as JavaScript Python AWS Kubernetes etc..
Good knowledge of software architecture design patterns and best practices
Great skills in communication working together and getting along with others
Showed a commitment to promoting diversity fairness and inclusion in team settings
Experience working in environments that use agile development
Ability to work alone and handle a lot of different tasks at once while working from home
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and DevOps methods
Experience mentoring and growing engineering teams that work from different places
Experience with best practices for working from home
Knowledge of tools or technologies that are specific to the industry
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $70 - $95 USD per hour depending on experience.
Contract Length: Ongoing with the possibility of a long-term extension and career growth.
