Job Description

Behavioral Specialist / Elementary (200 Day) FT

The Behavioral Specialist is responsible for partnering with the elementary school teams to access develop and support the implementation of behavioral needs. The purpose of the role is to combine direct service to students with consultation and training for administrators teachers paraprofessionals and families.This full time position DOES include benefits.

Bachelors degree in psychology special education social work or related field; Masters degree preferred. Applicants must have a valid Tennessee Department of Education or Department of Health license depending on their educational background. Three (3) years of experience working with students with behavioral/emotional disabilities in an school setting preferred. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential or active progress toward certification (e.g. completed ABA coursework supervised field work) preferred. Experience working with RTI2-B preferred. Certification in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) or willing to obtain required.
