Job Description

Position Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Sponsored Programs Assistant performs duties aimed at institutionalizing and strengthening Title III activities. The position directly supports Title III personnel in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and assists as needed with Title III activity-related tasks across other departments involved in the grant. This position is full time and grant-funded and will end with the expiration of the Title III grant on September 30 2025.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

The ORSP Sponsored Programs Assistant assumes responsibility for the following tasks:

  • Assist grant Primary Investigators in keeping and analyzing metrics related to grant objectives
  • Coordinate with grant personnel to plan execute and evaluate grant activities
  • Work with grant personnel and institutional leadership to plan and prepare for post-grant program
    sustainability
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in research administration grants and/or research setting(s)
  • Excellent organizational skills ability to plan schedule and coordinate multiple simultaneous
  • parts of a larger project
  • Must be results and goal oriented able to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Ability to provide quality customer service in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ability to work through complex problems independently with incomplete information by utilizing
  • analytical and critical thinking skills and employing the correct external resources
  • Knowledge of Title III goals and objectives project management and Federal grant post-award
  • practices
  • Effectively prioritizes deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal regulations such as 2CFR200 the Uniform Grant Guidance
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business administration communications or related field required
  • Masters degree in business administration or other relevant field preferred
