Job Description
Spotsylvania County Public Schools isseeking a dedicated and collaborative Coordinator of Student Support Services to lead and enhance programs that promote student wellness and success. This role oversees a range of student servicesincluding mental health supports crisis intervention attendance and social-emotional initiativeswhile partnering with school staff families and community agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates Special Education services and provides program support.
- Observes and provides growth producing feedback to teachers regarding instruction student engagement and classroom environment.
- Assists with caseload compliance.
- Provides support to schools in all aspects of administration and implementation of services.
- Provides instructional support and the development of professional learning for teachers and staff.
- Provides assistance and coordination of Manifestation Determination Review meetings.
- Responds to inquiries from students parents agencies teachers or members of the school community.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
- Currently possesses a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License within a specific endorsement area(s)
- Three (3) years of successful full-time teaching experience within a public school system and/or leadership experience within a school setting
Preferred
- Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Special Education or Administration
