| Job Description |
What you will be doing: - Provide leadership and support for all nursing and designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
- Assist in assessing planning coordinating implementing and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
- Assume 24/7 responsibility for the assigned areas of the Director.
- Support the CNO to ensure high quality safe and appropriate nursing care.
- Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
- Oversee overall operations of the Emergency Department (ED) with approximately 60 employees.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
Experience you will need: - Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelors degree in a health care related field or a BSN.
- Preferred: MSN or masters in a health care related field.
- Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
- Required: Currently licensed in the state of residence/practice certified or registered to practice profession as required by law regulation in the state of practice or policy; CPR.
