Job Description
Admission Coordinator

Admission Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the admissions securing and maintaining insurance coverage for clients during their episode or care.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately and efficiently filing pertinent patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct intake screening calls
- Assure adequate admissions to maintain an optimum census and fully utilize operating capacity.
- Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality laws including HIPAA.
- Maintaining procedures and systems related to the admission process.
- Establish and maintain positive and professional relationship with referral sources based on CHS values and mission statement.
- Facilitate and foster a team building approach within CHS organization.
- Assure timely review of admissions applications by Medical and program Director.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorization by providing clinical documentation
- Attend residential meetings staff meetings as requested.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associates Degree in chemical dependency communications marketing and/or one year experience
- Solid understating on Excel Microsoft Word and email
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and resources.
- Maintains highest level of confidentiality at all times with both patient and organizational information.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous EMR use/training
Location and Travel Requirements:
- 6621 Rte. 227 Trumansburg NY 14886 - Onsite Mon- Fri 9am-5:00pm
Compensation Disclosure:
- $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
