Job Description

Introduction

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a people-focused professional to take on the role of Lang & Legal Coordinator. This position plays an important role in managing our outsourced legal services overseeing land related agreements and transactions and supporting long term property planning in line with our operational goals.

Reporting to the Branch Manager Corporate Services the role is vital for maintaining strong governance systems policies and compliance frameworks to ensure we meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

This is a full-time ongoing position based in the Warrnambool office and comes with a generous salary of $99465 to $110954 p.a. plus superannuation.



Description

What youll be doing

On a day-to-day basis youll:

  • Act as the primary liaison between external legal providers ensuring timely and cost-effective legal advice that aligns with our goals and values.
  • Coordinate our legislative compliance framework helping identify monitor and manage risks associated with non-compliance.
  • Oversee the administration of our property portfolio including freehold and leasehold properties. This will involve maintaining compliance with our legal and government requirements while optimising financial and operational outcomes.
  • Support internal teams in the development negotiation and implementation of contracts and agreements ensuring alignment with our risk profile and procurement strategy.



Skills And Experiences

What youll bring

Youre a confident communicator with strong analytical and legal reasoning skills. You enjoy collaborating across teams and building positive productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualifications in law property business or related field is preferred with equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills particularly relating to compliance contracts or land-related matters.
  • High level of analytical reasoning and the ability to operate independently resolving complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse teams and with stakeholders.
