Manage and oversee all legal matters of the group providing comprehensive support across corporate legal secretarial and operational functions.
Oversee legal and compliance services to ensure alignment with the commercial objectives established by management.
Handle and resolve legal disputes internally including employer-employee matters as well as externally with third parties such as contractors suppliers and purchasers.
Oversee litigation matters and coordinate closely with external legal counsel.
Support the monitoring of the companys compliance with statutory requirements by-laws regulatory obligations authorities directives and Bursa Malaysia listing rules.
Take the lead in major sale and purchase transactions corporate restructuring due diligence exercises acquisitions and the management of security documentation.
Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on matters related to potential business ventures and the company s daily operations.
Attend tribunals and hearings concerning industrial relations and labor disputes as needed.
Liaise and coordinate with external law firms on civil suits and related legal disputes.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Requirements
A Bachelors Degree Postgraduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Law (LL.B).
Experience in property conveyancing litigation general corporate affairs industrial relations and construction.
Proficiency in English Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (to communicate with parties from China)
A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant work experience is required for this position.
The position of Legal Manager may be considered based on the candidates experience.
