ServiceNow ITOM Developer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging ServiceNows IT Operations Management (ITOM) suite to enhance and streamline IT operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery Service Mapping Event Management and Cloud Management and will be responsible for developing configuring and optimizing these solutions.

Responsibilities

ITOM Solutions Management: Lead the design configuration and customization of ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery Service Mapping Event Management and Cloud Management.

Integration: Advise design and configure integration solutions between ServiceNow ITOM and other systems. Develop REST/SOAP-based APIs with various HTTP methods and authentication mechanisms.

Workflow Design: Utilize Flow Designer and Workflow Editor to design and implement complex workflows for ITOM processes including discovery and event management. Hands-on experience with workflow activities for triggering approvals and fulfilment processes.

Development: Create and maintain ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript Jelly Web Services MYSQL XML HTML and CSS.

Documentation and Compliance: Document requirements in SDLC develop test cases and adhere to Change Management policies for Release Management.

Optimization: Review existing ITOM setups and provide best practice recommendations in line with OEM standards. Develop novel solutions to complex ITOM challenges.

Implementation: Drive the implementation of ITOM solutions from inception through to deployment ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Customization: Design and modify ServiceNow forms workflows scripts transform maps service maps web services inbound email actions SLAs and more.

Domain Separation: Implement and manage domain separation strategies and design process/data flow within various domains.

Monitoring and Testing: Monitor the health usage and compliance of ServiceNow ITOM systems. Perform systems and integration testing of ITOM functions and features.

Collaboration: Serve as a key collaborator on advanced ITOM solutions and support the rollout of new applications and enhancements.

Requirements

Experience: 4 years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM including Discovery Service Mapping Event Management and Cloud Management.

Scripting and Development: 2 years of experience with JavaScript and hands-on experience creating REST/SOAP-based APIs.

Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) preferred; Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.

Technical Skills: Practical experience in creating complex workflows using Flow Designer and understanding when to use Flow Designer vs. Workflow Editor. Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow best practices and latest features.

Integration and Customization: Experience with LDAP/Active Directory/SSO/domain separation. Hands-on experience with Performance Analytics ServiceNow Discovery ITOM and Cloud to Cloud Integrations is advantageous.

Methodology: Experience implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology.

Scripting Skills: Experience with scripting in ServiceNow (Business Rules UI Pages UI Macros etc.) HTML coding and Jelly script strongly preferred.

ITIL Knowledge: Thorough understanding of ITIL frameworks and processes such as Incident Problem Change and Request Fulfilment. ITIL Foundations certification preferred.

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Personal Traits: Self-starter and innovator with excellent collaboration communication and client-facing skills.
