CCAP Mission Statement - To empower all people and communities challenged by poverty as well as social and cultural barriers through advocacy education and access to high quality health and human services.


Job Summary:

Clinicians in any CCAP program are responsible for the management of care and case management for clinical behavioral cases of CCAP clients. Provides comprehensive clinical social work/counseling services in keeping with CCAP mission and values and the values of the social work/counseling professions. All Clinicians work under the direction of the Clinical Director.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a masters degree in social work or related field
  • Must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Rhode Island (LICSW or LCSW LMFT or LMHC)
  • Must hold an LCDP or eligible in 2 years in the State of Rhode Island (Addictions program only)
  • Must hold a Sexual Abuse Specialist Certification from the Department of Children Youth and Families or eligible in 2 years (Sexual Abuse Program Only)
  • Bilingual Spanish; preferred
  • Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations
  • Complete all required background checks

WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

Full-time unless specified differently by the Director.

Up to two evenings may be required.

May be required to work at any CCAP location and may be required to work in the community.

Due to the nature of the work and level of responsibility this individual maintains a flexible schedule which may go beyond a regular workweek.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and /or ability required.

Include but may not be limited to the following:

Clinical:

  • Provides adult adolescent child and family clinical evaluations
  • Provides individual group and family psychotherapy
  • Provides consultation to professional colleagues and community groups
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with area community health providers schools legal welfare and other social/human service and mental health personnel and agencies
  • Conducts clinical workshops in-services and educational programs to other CCAP components and the community
  • As appropriate supervises the clinical activities of MSW graduate interns
  • Facilitates and/or participates in interdisciplinary case conferences both within CCAP and in the community
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative:

  • Completes all written work.; Evaluations reports in a timely manner.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Participates in weekly supervision (group and / or individual)
  • Manages the clinical record in accordance with CCAP policies and procedures
  • Participate in performance improvement committees or other committees as assigned.
  • Must maintain an agency established benchmark of number of sessions delivered per week.
  • Participates in community boards groups counsels as required.
  • Participates and assists in departmental studies projects as required
  • Participates in professional responsibilities and activities including departmental statistical generation and analysis program development.
  • Participates in trainings required by CCAP and other trainings necessary for the maintenance of professional licensure and/or supervisory requests for growth and improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.


CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION:

Has unrestricted access to clinical records assigned to caseload. Must follow State and Federal Laws of confidentiality of Clinical Records and must follow CCAP policies and procedures for the creation protection retention release and disposal of Clinical Records. All staff are expected to demonstrate cybersecurity awareness and adhere to best practices. This includes familiarity with phishing emails creating strong passwords and participating in regular cybersecurity training sessions.


PHYSICAL EFFORT/ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and to talk to hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands fingers handle or feel objects tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The environment is a medical outpatient facility. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens respiratory diseases and other infectious diseases and other biohazardous material requiring universal standard precautions. Transportation is necessary at times. Must follow all CCAP Environment of Care and Infection Control Policies.
