Job Description:
Designation: Head Business Development - Industrial Roof Top Solar and Open Access
Location: Corporate Office Mumbai / Ahmadabad

Reporting To: Co-Founder / Managing Partner

Job Description:
  • Responsible for the day-to- day leadership operational management and growth of VIL
  • Will guide the organization as it moves into the next phase of growth and strategy.
  • Need to work closely with the Top Management to develop and execute a strategy for achieving Vision / Mission and Goals
  • Implementing the strategic communications policy finance marketing and technology agenda.
  • Advocating (Supporting) at all levels of government (central state local and international) to advance policy
  • Identifying and support in recruiting new members
  • Developing and implementing a communications strategy and serving as a spokesperson in various
  • Developing and leading a high performing professional team to carry out the organizations objectives.
  • Engaging and developing strong relationships with key industry stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage Solar business and P&L to meet objectives.
  • Major Strategic Direction :
  • Grow profitably the Solar business to 6 times by 2025/6 pan India base.
  • Leverage the existing customer base and relationship to grow solar business.
  • Develop the project capability for Solar project installation and maintenance.
  • Develop an aggressive cost base with quality vendor base.
  • Identify more solar related products and services to grow the business.
  • Develop a strategy for qualifying and winning Government large MW solar bids.
  • Operations Management
  • Ensure with the Top Management the financial health to meet the agenda and objectives which are set by Board
  • Develop implement and manage a business and financial plan that will provide stable sources of revenue to support short-term and long-term organizational goals.
  • Attract retain and develop high performing professional staff to execute objectives and strategy.
  • Well equipped with the emerging global technologies and suggest sources of different materials required.
  • Market Promotion.
  • Ensure promotions sound policies that lead to increased use and helps to position renewable energy as a clean sustainable and affordable energy resource in Indian and internationally Market.
  • Seek the continued expansion of market growth through organizing the conferences and other activities that provide access to increase in Solar industry.
  • Continue to educate the client investment community and others on the latest developments

  • Revenues
  • Contribution
  • DSIR (Receivables)
  • ITR (Inventory turns)
  • Vendor development
  • Revenue through Government bids
  • New Initiatives and Solutions Developed
Candidate Profile:
  • We are looking a Leader for heading our Solar Business which comprises of setting up solar plants plus marketing of solar energy related other products and accessories.
  • At present Solar business is at its nascent stage with us having executed close to 5MW of Capex projects and having 20MW of enquiry in hand. We are looking for a leader who can grow this business strategically and profitably.
  • Experience - with minimum 15 to 20 years in Solar Industry. At least 10 years in a leadership position.
Qualification :
UG: in Any Specialization
PG: MBA/PGDM in Any Specialization
