Job description:
The Business Development Manager -Oil and Gas is responsible for business development
efforts with existing and new customers. This position drives sales growth by creating selling
strategies to grow market share in each relevant product and service offering develops and
leverages relationships with clients and provides excellent customer service and expert
consultation during each transaction.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generates new revenue and increases sales of labeling products and services within targeted accounts to achieve sales goals through prospecting and closing new business.
- Develops and implements selling strategies to grow territory.
- Develops and maintains strong customer relationships and partnerships with key decision makers.
- Educates customers about products and services and consistently emphasizes our value proposition.
- Researches the competition and the markets and our customers to stay abreast of competitors developments in competitive products and changes in the market. Shares information with sales team as necessary.
- Proactively communicates with the customer to ensure all commitments and obligations for the customer are met and/or are exceeded throughout the project/order and provides ongoing support to ensure that needs are met.
- Provides excellent customer service by providing quotes order confirmations and following through on potential opportunities in a timely manner.
- Maintains a positive buying experience for the customer during each transaction.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years pipe labeling and service sales experience required preferably with a Marking Services entity.
- Extensive business to business sales experience in oil and gas industry required.
- Strong relationships with EPC companies.
- Proven ability to maintain a high client retention rate (75%) and increase client base by 25-50%.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Products advanced skill level in Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and able to independently manage time and projects; results driven.
- Ability to gather analyze and accurately interpret detailed information.
- Demonstrated above average organizational skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
*There is a minimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and
average 40 hours a week. May require additional hours when working with customers.
Business travel required at least 50% of the time. Consistent and regular attendance
required.*
