JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Instructional Support Paraprofessional Ponder Cafe (0.8 FTE)
LOCATION: Arlington High School
POSITION GOALS: The primary responsibility of this person would be to support students and staff working with equipment and materials inthe Ponder Cafe
Seeking a dedicated and creative person to oversee a group of students operating Ponder Caf. The individual in this role will provide guidance mentorship and supervision to students involved in the Marketing and Customer Service Experience course. The support personnel works under the supervision of the Marketing and Customer Experience course instructor and will be responsible for assisting with daily operations maintaining a positive and productive learning environment and supporting students in their development of workplace skills. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to make a positive impact on students learning experiences while helping them develop realworld skills in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a group of students working in Ponder Caf ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Support students in developing customer service teamwork and problemsolving skills.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students to encourage personal growth and accountability.
- Assist in inventory management food safety practices and the overall upkeep of the caf space.
- Foster a positive inclusive and supportive atmosphere in which students will learn and thrive.
- Schedule includes opening the Caf before school. Start time is roughly 7:30 am.
