This opportunity is:
Location: Memphis TN
Hours: 11 am730pm
Days: MondayFriday

In this role you will:
- Receive identify and accessions specimens
- Allocates histology cases to the appropriate pathologist
- Ensures histology slides and requisition forms match
- Order IHCs and special stains and document
- Assist in histology and cytology to facilitate specimen processing instrument maintenance documentation of quality assurance records and slide filing.
- Track bone marrow and flow cytometry specimens.
- Ensure specimens are batched and received by the flow lab.
- Distributes hematology slides/requisition forms to the pathologist after coverslipping.
- Document the histology slides/blocks
- Ensure slides/blocks are packaged and sent out for consult or review in a timely manner and are tracked and documented accordingly.
- Performs clerical duties as directed
- Additional processing may be performed if necessary including tissue embedding and microtomy based on training and experience.
- All other activities to support pathologist sample tracking
All you need is:
High School graduate or equivalent good computer data entry skills and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Minimum of six (6) months work experience in a laboratory/medical environment including data entry experience.
