Job Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Joplin MO 64804
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: Day Shift
Description:
We are currently hiring an entry-level Maintenance Technician for a local machine shop in Joplin. This is a temp-to-hire position that offers great benefits once you go perm. The ideal Maintenance Technician will be mechanically inclined with some experience and have a desire to grow into a more skilled position with the company.
Required Experience & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge (e.g. chains gears bearings)
- Previous experience as a maintenance tech is a plus!
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment and in a non-climate-controlled environment
As a Maintenance Technician your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular inspections to prevent breakdowns and maintain operations
- Supporting startups and equipment adjustments for optimal performance
- Performing facility maintenance including carpentry plumbing and painting
- Welding and fabricating equipment as needed
- Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by following all company policies
- Adapting to additional responsibilities as assigned
