Job Description

The Newport City Elementary School seeks a knowledgeable and energetic individual to fill their Literacy Interventionist teacher position within its PK6 school with approximately 350 students. The position incorporates working directly with students and consulting with teachers concerning assessment results and implementing research and evidence based best practices. Applicants must have the ability to adapt curriculum to accommodate student needs to address core subject areas using nontraditional methods and be able to view students in terms of their success and help them persevere when there are challenges. Candidates must have or be eligible for appropriate Vermont AOE licensure.
