The ideal candidate is passionate about improving outcomes for all students particularly those who need additional support to meet grade-level standards in Math Interventionist works directly with students in small groups collaborates with teachers and families to support instructional strategies and serves as a key member of the schools Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team to lead math intervention with and for StudentsProvide math services aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) MTSS tiers and other intervention frameworksDesign and implement data-driven research-based math interventions and targeted instructional plansAdminister and analyze diagnostic assessments to determine specific skill gaps and learning needsCollaborate with Special Education and general education teachers to support students with diverse learning needsMonitor and document progress toward IEP and MTSS goals through regular formative and summative assessmentsImplement consistent academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a respectful structured and achievement-oriented learning environmentInput and analyze student academic and behavioral data using the schools data management systemCo-lead or support Service-Learning projectsWorking with and for FamiliesCommunicate regularly with families about student progress goals and strategies for successParticipate in Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences three times per yearAttend and contribute to IEP meetings and student support planning sessionsWorking with and for ColleaguesCollaborate with general education Special Education and ELD teachers to support all learnersConsult with and coach general education teachers on effective interventions and accommodationsAttend weekly grade-level team meetings and professional development sessionsParticipate in curriculum development and instructional planningMaintain a strong school-wide culture focused on equity and high expectationsProvide timely updates and feedback on student performance to all stakeholdersMTSS Leadership and CollaborationServe as the math content lead for the schools MTSS team ensuring a systematic approach to math intervention across all in MTSS data meetings to review student progress recommend instructional adjustments and document classroom teachers by modeling strategies and providing resources to help struggling students within Tier 1 Tier 2 and Tier 3 to a positive data-driven culture of continuous improvement in mathematics You Are:You are a skilled and reflective math educator with a demonstrated ability to accelerate outcomes for students with diverse learning are deeply committed to inclusive culturally responsive are committed to standards-based teaching and have a deep understanding of mathematics standards learning progressions and effective instructional use data to design adjust and monitor work to build student-centered learning environments.
