The Department of Executive Dean For Research is currently seeking a full time Project Manager 2 to work in Miami. The Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Space Planning within the Office of the Executive Dean for Research. This role provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement progress tracking and documentation. to oversee and coordinate research space projects within our organization. This role requires a detailoriented individual with a strong background in managing complex research space initiatives coordinating interdisciplinary teams and ensuring timely project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills a deep understanding of research environments and a proven track record of successful project management.

Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Certification in relevant specialty or field
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an academic or research environment
Knowledge Skills and Attitudes:
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to direct manage implement and evaluate department operations.
Intermediary experience in floor plan drawing software such as Bluebeam or Autodesk is preferred.
Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead motivate develop and train others.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Commitment to the Universitys core values.
Wellversed in Microsoft Office products: SharePoint (administration experience preferred) MS Word Excel PowerPoint Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
Proficiency in using Project Management software preferred (i.e. Smartsheet Microsoft Project).
