Job Description
The Vice President Global Materials Strategy and Planning at Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN) is a highimpact executive responsible for shaping and executing the companys global materials management strategy to drive operational excellence business growth and supply chain resilience. This leader will oversee endtoend materials planning inventory optimization and customer fulfillment ensuring a seamless global supply chain.
As a strategic partner this role will influence enterprisewide decisionmaking aligning supply chain initiatives with financial commercial and operational priorities. By leveraging advanced digital tools AIdriven analytics and industry best practices the VP will enhance customer satisfaction maximize working capital efficiency and foster a culture of innovation agility and continuous improvement.
This position is based in Deerfield Illinois reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. The ideal candidate is a transformational leader with a proven ability to drive largescale change lead highperforming global teams and implement cuttingedge supply chain innovations in a complex global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute a worldclass global materials strategy that aligns with FBINs corporate objectives and enables scalability profitability and resilience.
- Drive a culture of innovation and digital transformation ensuring the adoption of nextgeneration supply chain technologies AIdriven forecasting and advanced planning tools.
- Build and develop a highperformance global team fostering a culture of continuous learning accountability and operational excellence.
Supply Chain Optimization & Execution
- Lead crossfunctional SIOP (Sales Inventory & Operations Planning) processes to ensure optimal supplydemand alignment and working capital efficiency.
- Drive global inventory optimization strategies implementing AIdriven forecasting and realtime visibility solutions to enhance agility and cost control.
- Collaborate with technology and finance teams to integrate ERP digital twins and intelligent automation into materials planning processes.
- Establish and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency customer service levels and cost performance.
Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and execute comprehensive risk mitigation strategies ensuring business continuity in response to global supply chain disruptions geopolitical risks and demand fluctuations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
- Utilize predictive analytics and AIdriven insights to identify potential risks and implement preemptive solutions proactively.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Communication
- Influence and engage senior stakeholders across operations finance and commercial teams driving collaborative decisionmaking and enterprisewide supply chain integration.
- Deliver highimpact executive briefings and insights providing datadriven recommendations on supply chain performance emerging risks and strategic initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to global business unit leaders ensuring materials strategy optimally supports commercial growth operational efficiency and longterm business sustainability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field (MBA strongly preferred).
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in global materials planning inventory management and SIOP with a proven track record in complex multinational manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success in leading largescale enterprise transformations leveraging digital supply chain innovations automation and AIdriven decisionmaking to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Deep digital supply chain transformation expertise including AIpowered forecasting ERP implementation machine learning applications and realtime inventory optimization.
- Strong financial and business acumen translating supply chain strategies into EBITDA growth working capital optimization and shareholder value creation.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage executive leaders and key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build lead and develop highperforming global teams fostering a culture of innovation accountability and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Extensive experience in global supply chain ecosystems with expertise in supplier diversification nearshoring vs. offshoring strategies and geopolitical risk manage

Additional Information:
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: 225000USD $330000USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
