The Position
The Specialty Care Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets market share and growth for assigned Specialty products through identification and development of customer plans. Reporting to the Executive Sales Manager the Sales Representative promotes products with designated customers within their territory which includes metropolitan and rural areas. The role is an autonomous one and ability to travel frequently is essential.
There are 4 openings in the following Territories:
- NSW South Territory
- VIC East Territory
- WA Territory
- QLD South Territory
Responsibilities
- Creating a superior customer experience for all assigned Specialists HCPs & relevant allied health with a view to continually increasing customer loyalty.
- Building longterm trusted business relationships with relevant stakeholders i.e Specialists HCPs nurses and pharmacists.
- Consistently demonstrating strong leadership and sound judgement.
- Ensuring effective communication within the sales team and across other key internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrating competence in technical information whilst implementing product sales strategies to customers.
- Utilising sales analysis tools to develop Territory Business Plans and implement sales activities that maximise highpotential areas of the business.
- Travelling to country/regional areas and to sales conferences as required.
- Attending and actively participating in sales team meetings including national business meetings.
- Ensuring all administrative activities including expenses are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Working in compliance with the Medicines Australia code of conduct and the Companys internal compliance guidelines for medical representatives at all times.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of Sales Targets
- Internal business drivers including:
- Key Account Management
- Medical education meetings and Sponsorship
- Attendance at key Conferences
- Maintenance of CRM system entering accurate call and activity notes within the required timeframe (24hrs)
Training applicable to the role includes:
- Disease state product & competitor
- Medicines Australia (MA) Code of Conduct if not completed prior to employment employee is required to complete within first year of employment.
Required Education Experience and Skills:
- Educational background in healthcare or science (advantageous)
- At least 1 years speciality sales experience.
- Experience to other medical or pharmaceutical environments an advantage.
- Medicines Australia (desirable). If not completed prior to employment employee is required to complete within first year of employment.
- Ability to travel via car (essential)

- Selling skills that incorporate rapport building questioning and negotiation skills
- Well developed professional oral & written communication skills
- Ability to assimilate and communicate scientific information in a simple concise manner
- Ability to impact and influence a range of customers.
