Job Description:
Operates radio teletype Communication Aided Dispatch (CAD) various computer systems and telephone communications devices to collect and distribute restricted access mission critical information to and from law enforcement officers and other public safety workers. Communicates with the public in routine and emergency situations. Successful candidate must be able to maintain positive working relationships while performing duties in close proximity to coworkers.
Applicants must successfully pass preemployment hearing and eyesight exams. Applicants must pass a preemployment psychological exam. Applicants must successfully pass the NDST within their probationary period from date of hire. Applicants must successfully complete Combined Law Enforcement Information Network (CLEIN) training. Applicants must become National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Certified within twelve months from the date of hire. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Experience in communicating with others. Must be at least 18 years of age. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent to ensure successful completion of required training.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working as a communications dispatcher preferred.

Applicant must successfully complete an extensive background screening prior to being employed which includes completion of a Personal History Questionnaire. Selection process will include an interview. Interested applicants are encouraged to schedule a tour of the facility prior to their interview.
