Serves as a lead dispatcher for the Warm Springs Indian Reservation Fire Management Office. Applicant will be responsible primarily for wild land fire preparedness. suppression support activities but may respond to all risk incidents as needed. Will be required to work long shifts and several days in succession under stress during extreme fire danger or fire emergencies. Position serves as a dispatcher receiving filling and tracking resources. Will require applicant to be on call for after-hour responses experience in dispatching of resources to have clear speaking voice.
Requirements
Legible writing skills and basic knowledge of 2-way radios. Basic knowledge of aviation operations. Applicant must have the knowledge of fire management computer programs and data output to train solve data entry/retrieval problems and develop operating guidelines and procedures. Have proficient skills in other office equipment answering phones and meeting the public. Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon drivers license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years. Must submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal Tribal and State Law Enforcement and pre-employment alcohol and drug screening. Eligible for CTWS insurance coverage to operate Governmental (GSA) or Tribal Vehicles.
