Aboutthe role and the team

Scribd is a global company of 300 employees and growing rapidly. We are looking for a HR Business Partner to strategically partner with managers and support the of key HR programs and initiatives. As a trusted partner you will anticipate business needs build strong relationships and provide insights and solutions that enhance performance engagement and organizational effectiveness. This role will sit within the HR team reporting to Scribds Senior Manager HRBPWorking closely with members of the HR team and broader People team this role will support the of HR initiatives across the organization including but not limited to performance management coaching employee relations compensation engagement and retention career development and benefits.

You have experience as a strategic partner to business leaders providing guidance and support on all aspects of human resources management to help drive company success in the fastpaced and competitive tech industry. Responsibilities / What you will do

  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to managers across the organization providing proactive coaching and expert guidance on key HR areas including organizational design employee relations performance management compensation learning and development and HR policies.

  • Empower managers with effective performance management strategies helping them navigate performance challenges and build highperforming teams.

  • Lead employee relations efforts conducting workplace investigations and conflict resolution with fairness consistency and a focus on positive outcomes.

  • Play a key role in shaping and driving key HR Programs and initiativessuch as talent reviews succession planning and internal trainingby contributing to their design and ongoing evolution.

  • Leverage HR analytics and workforce insights to identify trends anticipate challenges and recommend datadriven solutions that enhance decisionmaking and improve employee experience.

  • Facilitate leadership training programs to cultivate a high performance culture.

  • Partner with members of the HR Team to support the of the compensation and performance cycleCollaborate across teams to lead impactful crossfunctional HR initiatives that strengthen employee retention satisfaction and career development.

  • Be a culture champion fostering an inclusive highperformance workplace that reflects our values and supports business success

You Have / Were looking for / Requirements

  • You have 46 years of relevant HR Generalist/Business Partner experience in a fastpaced agile environment.

  • You are able to think like a consultant communicate like a coach and advise both managers and individual contributors across the entire organization.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • You are tenacious and refuse to stop at anything less than exceptional.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical adapting to changing business needs.

  • You act without being told what to do proactively getting things done.

  • You confidently yet respectfully handle tough conversations.

  • You are a skilled communicator in pen and voice phone or live; you make the right points with clarity.

  • You have strong knowledge of Employment law and practices and execute them with confidence specifically you are experienced in CA Employment law.

  • You enjoy fast paced growth and change easily adapting to changing priorities.

  • You have a Bachelors degree; additional HR related certifications or degrees a plus.

  • You are familiar with various HR systems and have experience working in a Mac environment using GSuite

At Scribd your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role level and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States.

In the state of California the reasonably expected salary range is between $89000 minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California to $143000 maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California.

In the United States outside of California the reasonably expected salary range is between $73000 minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California to $136000 maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California.

In Canada the reasonably expected salary range is between $93000 CAD minimum salary in our lowest geographic market to $127000 CAD maximum salary in our highest geographic market.

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation including but not limited to experience; jobrelated skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
