Job Description
Position Title: Industrial Painter Assistant
Pay: $15$17/hour
Shift: MondayFriday 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: Pryor OK
Purpose
The Industrial Painter Assistant is responsible for preparing parts for painting by sanding filling grinding buffing and masking. This role will also involve applying primer with minimal defects while ensuring all equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare clean mask and paint materials according to work orders.
Safely set up operate and maintain all painting equipment; perform routine maintenance of the paint booth.
Mix and apply primer coatings; troubleshoot paint issues and report any material shortages to supervisors.
Inspect surface finishes address blemishes and verify product quality before progressing to the next phase.
Adhere to all safety quality and PPE standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain production flow.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in automotive or industrial painting including proficiency with spraygun techniques.
Ability to read and interpret part drawings and work orders.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while ensuring the correct paint thickness is applied.
High attention to detail strong teamwork skills and a solid work ethic.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks such as sanding and buffing.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and hazardous material handling practices.
Qualifications
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Familiarity with surface preparation methods and quality control standards.
Dependable detailoriented and committed to safety and highquality work standards.
