CSI-IPT DDG Project Support Officer

The opportunity

Saab is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration Integrated Project Team (CSIIPT) Collaboration Agreement or (CCA). The CSIIPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs SEA5000 Phase 1. This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation the CSIIPT.

The CSIIPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.

The role

The CSIIPT Project Support Officer will perform a range of administrative and project support activities for the CSIIPT.

They will:

• Support onboarding and offboarding of personnel on the program
• Administer resource requirement data and update the master database as directed
• Act as pointofcontact for all administration enquiries for the CSIIPT
• Undertake clerical duties such as photocopying faxing document binding file correspondence and management of confidential records
• Management of action registers and support to weekly monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
• Arrange and support events
• Perform word processing data entry and report collation
• Order and maintain stationery and general office supplies for the program
• Coordinate visitor security passes
• Book meeting rooms arrange catering room set up/pull down and minute taking
• Assist CSI Manager and provide support to cover annual leave sick leave long service leave etc
• Work with the designated CSIIPT LT Manager to produce/update organisation charts.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• 2 to 5 years of administration in a project environment (essential) in the defence industry (preferable)
• Strong planning analysis and verbal and written communication
• A general understanding of the project life cycle project documentation project standards and methodologies
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise use initiative and work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands
• Awareness of earned value management principles (desirable)
• Diploma/Certificate in Project Management (desirable).
