Job Description
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
-
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Mechanical Electrical or a related Engineering field.
-
Mandatory: Full-time recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety (e.g. Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety from an AICTE approved institution/Technical Board of Education).

Masters degree in Fire & Safety or M.E./ (Fire & Safety) is a plus.

Certifications:
-
NEBOSH IGC/Diploma or equivalent international safety certification.
-
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
-
First Aid and CPR certification.
-
Other relevant certifications based on industry (e.g. OSHA HAZWOPER specific industry certifications).

Experience:
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience as a Safety Officer/HSE Officer in a large-scale industrial environment preferably within the Proven experience in implementing and managing safety programs and systems.

Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems LOTO procedures and risk assessment methodologies.
-

Technical Knowledge:
-
In-depth knowledge of Indian occupational health and safety laws regulations and standards (e.g. Factories Act local labor laws specific industry codes).
-
Strong understanding of HSE management systems (e.g. ISO 45001).
-
Proficiency in conducting incident investigations (Root Cause Analysis).
-
Knowledge of emergency response planning fire safety and industrial hygiene.

Familiarity with various hazards identification techniques like HAZOP HIRA JSA.

Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams management and external stakeholders.

Strong leadership abilities to drive safety initiatives and influence behavior.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-
High level of physical vigilance and adaptability to new hazards and changing work environments.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with safety management software/digital platforms.
